Preschool Teacher

Staff is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for young children aged 2 months- 12 years. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Engage: Oversee the safety and well-being of children during play, meals, and learning activities. Engage with children to foster their development and encourage positive interactions.

  • Plan Activities: Develop and implement creative lesson plans and activities that support learning objectives and cater to diverse learning styles.

  • Assess Development: Observe and assess children’s development and progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating with parents about milestones and areas for growth.

  • Maintain Environment: Ensure a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment. Regularly check and maintain toys and equipment for safety.

  • Collaborate with Staff: Work as part of a team with other educators and staff to enhance the learning experience and support children’s needs.

  • Promote Social Skills: Encourage positive social interactions and conflict resolution among children, fostering a sense of community and cooperation.

  • Administer First Aid: Provide first aid and emergency care when necessary, ensuring the safety and health of all children.

  • Maintain Compliance: Adhere to all regulations and policies regarding health, safety, and early childhood education.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.

  • Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting.

  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred or required.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

 

Working Conditions:

  • The role requires standing, walking, and engaging with children on the floor.
